Ebook About Sean had been through something close to hell— he’d taken out Klein Denmur and Knight Evan Sharpeyes, along with a few of Lord Truestrike’s servants, but Chastity and Lilly died on the fields outside the city. At the end of that battle, he claimed Helga Helsdottir, Soul Bonding her and renaming her Helga Oathsworn. With a Valkyrie by his side, Sean hoped never to lose another loved one to death. His enemies were far from done with him, however. Attacks on the association and their families started, claiming lives and hurting Sean’s friends. Finished with just trying to live his life, Sean made plans to take on his enemies directly. The turning point came when Sean confronted Denmur and his group outside the Golden Lion. Helga struck down Denmur’s champion, Knight Mithrilarm, during the ensuing duel, causing Denmur to snap. The fight left Denmur, plus dozens of others, dead.Even that wasn’t the end— the corrupt guards in Lord Sharpeyes’ pay arrested Sean and Helga. As they were brought before Magister Amuret, Sean discovered just how far he’d pushed his enemies when he was attacked and killed in the courtroom. Death could not stop Sean while he had energy to invoke his gifts from the Tuatha. Pushing death away, Sean got back to his feet and killed the guards and magistrate who had tried to murder him. He was brought before the unusually reasonable chief magistrate, who found Sean innocent of any wrongdoing. Sean’s Bond with Helga gave him access to new planes, including the Bog. That was where the souls of Sean’s foes now went if they died while in combat with him. In an effort to find out more about who was directing the attacks against him, Sean paid a visit to the dead in the Bog. He was determined to end the troubles facing him, even if it meant finding a Noble Solution. (This work contains adult situations that some might find offensive, the least of which is graphic sex. This book is about an Overpowered MC, and contains a harem. You’ve been warned.)Book Noble Solutions (Binding Words Book 7) Review :
Okay so, I adore this series. I will forever reccomend it simply because I enjoy reading it for the magical crafting aspects if nothing else. But the last books 4 to present seem to have followed the same formula and it feels like more of the same. Open with after the cliffhanger from the last book having just passed, insert new thing a noble did to piss off Sean, someone tries to kill him/give him a setback, they loose, Sean makes new things, is blunt, shocks people who worship him, women say nice things, Sean gets bashful during shower scene one, add one to two new love interests, showe scene two; lather, rinse, repeat until the next big party where Sean and company show off new thing that angers the lord, there's a fight, people die, Sean wins, new problem crops up. There's more but that's the basically the last four books in a nutshell. I'm just glad that the Heathglen episode is over and perhaps new things can happen in the next and what feels like the penultimate arc, if not the last one. It feels like Schinhofen is done with this series and will probably let it die with a mediocre ending in a book or three if only as fan service. You can tell that he's more invested in other series and this is falling by the wayside. Aether's Revival, Dungeon Walkers, the Luck's voice series are all departures from his other worlds. Well maybe not Dungeon Walkers but still.. I hate to advocate taking a page out of Blaise Corvin's book of treating some series but maybe give it a few more months or longer before starting the other ones? Stagnation of writing the same characters and situations can be taxing on the writer as much as the reader. I see a lot of five stars and while I love Schinhofen and his books this is not among his best work. I hate saying that but its my review so I will.Overall the dialog isn't terrible, a bit scripted and yes I know it's supposed to he but it feels more like cut and paste with random fortune cookie wisdom and only the ocassional Schinhofenism. Some of the old main characters are falling to wayside and becoming more one dimensional as the divine harem grows and new characters are added and without the way this book went it would have been unsustainable. I'm glad that this book ended the Herthglen saga. Though, I liked it initially and up until the interference of other gods and the clear allusions to winter and death were heavy handed, it was alright. Still too many shower scenes for me in this one, too heavy handed on the praise and worship, along with the allusions and symbolism, regardless, it was a good book, I just don't think I'll read all of it at once again until the next book comes out and really even then I'll only need to read the last five chapters because as I said before these books have been very formulaic as of late. So yeah rant over, I hope this doesn't turn you off from the book. I'm still going to buy it despite having KU but I'm broke until payday rn so this was a stopgap book from KU. I say that because he really is a good author but this one just really wasn't my speed. Maybe the next one? Actually probably the next one because it's a larger stage and a greater opponent. Here's to seeing the next one and that there's a satisfying end to this series sometime in the (not so near) future. Loved how this one came out swinging and how the MC just started to slap his enemies around. This is another great entry in the series can’t wait for the next one. Keep the great work coming!
